Arizona State won the Big 12 contest 28-23 and will play at rival Arizona on Saturday with a berth in the Big 12 conference championship game on the line. BYU will host Houston on Saturday and must win and have either ASU or Iowa State lose to make it to the championship game Dec. 7 in Arlington, Texas.

The Big 12 fined Arizona State $25,000 for the "field storming incident" that occurred at the end of the BYU-Arizona State football game.

The Big 12 on Tuesday fined Arizona State Sun Devils $25,000 for their fans prematurely storming the field Saturday during a win against BYU.

If all of those teams win in the final week of the regular season, BYU would be left out. Instead, it would be Arizona State and Iowa State heading to the Big 12 title game. The Cougars would lose the tiebreaker to both ASU and ISU. So, BYU needs a win and some help to punch its ticket.
