Noel took his turn on lead vocals for several songs, including the touching “Half the World Away,” and the show ended with encores featuring some of Oasis' most enduring tracks: “Don't Look Back in Anger,” “Wonderwall” and “Champagne Supernova.”

The show was the first of the Live ‘25 tour, which will run for 41 dates — 19 of which are in the U.K. and Ireland. The group will perform Saturday night (July 5) in Cardiff before heading to Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin; the tour will then run through North America, Asia and Australia and conclude in São Paolo, Brazil, on Nov. 23.

LONDON — Oasis is due to take to the stage in Cardiff, Wales on Friday, kicking off a hotly, and somewhat anxiously, anticipated reunion tour. The return of the Britpop-era rockers after a 16-year hiatus is a major moment for fans. Will it be a storming success? Definitely maybe.
