The new agreements involve the Florida State Guard, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the FDLE.

Gov. Ron DeSantis signed several agreements between state law enforcement agencies and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Wednesday to deputize them as part of immigration enforcement statewide.

The program, 287(g), allows ICE to delegate authority to both state and local law enforcement to perform immigration officer functions under ICE’s direction.
