Dallas Cowboys starter Jake Ferguson suffered an MCL sprain in the team's Week 1 game, while Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku suffered an ankle sprain that held him out in Week 2. On Sunday morning, Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram was injured during warmups and missed the game. Having a backup plan in place is crucial.

In Week 2 against the New England Patriots, Smith dropped back 48 times and threw for 327 yards and a touchdown. If the Seahawks keep that volume up, which they should, then Smith becomes a much more viable fantasy quarterback. The Kansas City Chiefs may have signed Kareem Hunt this week but that shouldn’t impact veteran Samaje Perine too much.
