The 27-year-old forward, who is day to day, went down following a knee-on-knee collision with Drake Caggiula but did not leave a 5-3 win at the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday. Kaprizov did not participate in an optional practice Friday.

The Minnesota Wild wanted more from their superstar forward Kirill Kaprizov to start the 2024-25 season, and they got it. In 19 games played, Kaprizov led the Wild with a whopping 13 goals and 21 assists for 34 total points.

PAUL - Kirill Kaprizov participated in the Wild's morning skate on Monday and skated in line rushes. He was with Joel Eriksson Ek and Matt Boldy. Not only did he slate in line rushes but he worked on the top power play unit as well.

The Wild scored two goals late in the third period to tie the score against the Flames, completing a 2-0-1 road trip even though Kirill Kaprizov didn’t dress.

The Wild will need other players to step up if they plan to keep the tremendous first quarter of their season going.
