New Jersey residents can expect a picture-perfect Fourth of July weekend with clear skies, low humidity, and comfortable temperatures in the 80s. The National Weather Service forecast indicates a dry, sunny Independence Day with northwest winds around 5-10 mph.

The weather will cooperate if you have beach or shore plans in the Northeast this July Fourth. The Midwest and much of the Southeast will be hot and humid, but it looks soggy across Florida as we track the potential for a tropical or subtropical system.

Forecasters say some of today's thunderstorms may pack a big punch, with winds strong enough to damage trees and power lines.

On Thursday at 4:07 p.m. a severe thunderstorm watch was released by the National Weather Service in effect until 10 p.m. for Bucks County.

Forecasters classified the twister as an EF-0 with 70 mph winds that damaged trees along its nearly one-mile path earlier this week.

The National Weather Service will conduct a survey around eastern Berks County, Pennsylvania following Tuesday's storms.
