The Washington Commanders are cutting the roster down to only 53 players before the league's deadline on Tuesday at 4 pm ET. The team has a lot of difficult decisions to make after another offseason of rebuilding the roster from top to bottom.

With the preseason out of the way, next up is cutdown day. Every NFL team must trim its roster from 90 players to 53 by 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday. Then, teams can begin assembling their practice squads, which often consist of re-signing several players who were cut.

Bill Croskey-Merritt was one of the stars of the summer, but the improvement of Chris Rodriguez Jr. also can't be ignored.
