U.S. Representative Marc Veasey, D-Fort Worth, said, "Republicans are putting the needs of Trump in front of their own constituents. This is going to be something I believe that we're going to dig ourselves from underneath for a long time to come."

Congressional Republicans are hoping to send their sweeping tax and spending cuts package, otherwise known as the “big, beautiful bill,” to President Donald Trump’s desk by July 4. The House and Senate have each narrowly passed their own versions of the bill.

President Donald Trump will continue to push the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" as Senate Republicans try to meet Trump's Fourth of July deadline for passage. The Senate GOP discussed the megabill at its lunch Friday afternoon -- while they work to resolve a number of outstanding issues so they can work to get the bill on the floor this weekend.
