Mpox Outbreak in Uganda -Updates _ 18.09.2024 - WHO
WEBUganda confirmed the first cases of Mpox on 24 July 2024 following the confirmation of two case-patients from Kasese District, Bwera Hospital by the Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI) through a routine sentinel surveillance system. The cumulative total confirmed Mpox cases since the declaration of the outbreak are 22. No death has been registered among the confirmed cases.
