I assumed that back when the Osborns were first drawn it was meant to show their hair was black with hints of red, as a shading technique by the artists, and then other artists just ran with it.

Feb 19, 2015 · I have always thought of Norman Osborn as half of Luther's intellect that transforms into half of Joker's madness (The Green Goblin). I think Osborn head to head with Luther, Luther takes this 9/10. However, Osborn becoming Green Goblin at the most inopportune time, Osborn/Goblin takes this 6/10 on pure unpredictability power.

Peter doesn't have to stop Norman mainly because Norman is just crazy and can't help himself, but mainly because Norman commits to the villainous worldview, opposite Peter's own heroic worldview. This gives the thematic depth to Spider-Man story, just like how good takes on Lex Luthor and Joker give more thematic depth to Superman and Batman.

But in recent years, his obsession with the super human program for the US Military has been a vast blackhole that's been sucking up all the money in the company with no results. Peak Osborn is when he’s both at the same time I like how he was portrayed in the Dark Reign and HAMMER era where Norman is this powerful and evil guy but is able to get his goals through manipulation and careful thinking, just for it to come crashing down by his curse, Green Goblin, a character that cant help do cartoonishly evil and openly wacky schemes that will always fail
