In 2020 we began our commitment to developing a National Forest for Wales. We brought the first woodland sites into the network. These 14 woodland blocks are part of our Welsh Government Woodland Estate (WGWE). Natural Resources Wales manage and maintain them. In 2023 we launched the National Forest Status Scheme.
