Just like the summer-evening sun shining low across your garden and turning everything to gold, the Veranda® Sunbeam™ Tree Rose brings a bright beam of sunshine into your garden, whether you grow it in a pot on your veranda or out in the garden. Standing on a short, sturdy stem this rounded bush produces a profusion of large, golden yellow blooms that are full, packed with many petals, and glow with an inner light you will be amazed by. From pointed buds, flattened fully-double roses develop, and these are carried in clusters to give maximum impact. Coming in wave after wave throughout summer and into fall, this gorgeous rose delivers beauty and wonderful color month after month. The intense golden coloring of this plant will knock you over, and yes, besides growing it out in your garden, it really is a fabulous choice for a potted tree on your veranda. - Brilliant golden-yellow double blooms - Prolific bloomer, flowering all through summer and fall - Large, fully-double blooms over 3 inches across - Sturdy tree-form with strong trunk that raises the bush into the air for more impact - Gorgeous plant for garden beds or for large pots Plant your Veranda® Sunbeam™ Rose Tree - or place your planter box - where it receives full sun, or the closest to full sun you can find. This keeps it blooming continuously. Grow it in moist but well-drained soil with plenty of added compost. For planters, use a mixture of 3 parts potting soil and 1 part garden soil. Water regularly, especially during summer, as dry conditions often make the plant go dormant and stop flowering until fall. This plant has good resistance to blackspot, powdery mildew and rust, meaning the foliage stays clean and healthy all season, without the need to spray. Remove dead flowers to encourage more blooms, and prune in spring to leave a framework of strong branches.
