🪮We are often asked, “How do you harvest your cashmere?”. We gently comb the cashmere fibre for our goats. In Spring they naturally cast their cashmere undercoats which they grow every winter to keep cosy. The process takes two people one hour to comb an adult goat. Depending on the casting phase, we may need to comb each goat twice over a peroid of weeks to collect all the cashmere.
