A wrestler, promoter, and booker, Plechas played a key role in the success of the Dallas territory in the ’60s and ’70s. Gary Hart noted that Plechas was booking when he arrived in Texas, and Plechas had previously wrestled alongside Mike DiBiase, father of Ted.
