The Suva Magistrate Court has denied bail for Elizabeth Sautu (wearing sunglasses), a police officer charged with stealing $3,000 from a 66-year-old man last March. Sautu made her first appearance before Magistrate Sufia Hamza at midday today. She is charged with one count of theft. She also has two other pending cases involving similar charges. The first is a 2021 case in which she is charged with conspiracy. The second is currently before the Nasinu Magistrate Court, where she is charged along
