100+ belugas! Definite highlight of our time in Svalbard for me. This large group of beluga whales had gathered at the ice edge to feed. We were checking out a glacier when we first saw one or two.. then suddenly maybe 20 or 30.. and more and more! I counted about 100 in one of the aerial shots, and an unknown number were deeper down or under the ice at the same time 😮😮. They were feasting on something, but I'm not sure what.
